HOW TO GET THE FOX EYE MAKEUP LOOK?
May 03, 2020
The fox eye is an eyeliner trend that is sweeping the internet. This feline-inspired look brings the classic cat-eye to a new level with more elongating look for the eye. So how to master this fox eye trend for all eye shapes?
It's all about making your eyes look thinner and longer. Forget the classic eyeliner look and only draw the outer edge of your cat eye with felt tip liner. Depending on your eye shape start thinly lining where your pupil ends when you are looking straight. Stop lining before you reach the end of your eyelid and draw a line upwards like you normally would when doing a cat-eye, just this time make sure your line is thin as well as upturned in the angle that it makes the eye look longer. These tips work for most eye shapes, if you have naturally longer eyes, you can draw your eye line to the end of the eyelid like you normally do.
To enhance the eyes even more and get that feline fox eye look line the inner corner of the eye as well. Other options would be to add some false lashes and placing them a tiny bit higher up on the outer corners than you normally would, even a slight change of placement can make a big impact on your eye look.
If you are looking for a softer natural look. Simply use eyeshadow and thin brush and create a similar shape to it. Choose a colour a few shades darker than your skin tone, like cool toner brown or warmer chocolate brown, and with a small eye brush, create the same low winged shape from the outer corner of the eye. Blend if you like it smokey, or keep it sharp, then take the same colour to the inner corner to extend the eye shape.
